1. Only participants who have paid by August 8 and whose names appear on Datasport’s official starting list are considered registered. Registration for Raidy, the children’s route, is possible at the location on the day of the race.

2. All participants have to present their bicycle at the technical control in a proper state. Participants who have performed a pre-check with one of the organization’s partners may undergo a rapid, simplified inspection.

Only vehicles without assistance (E-Bikes) electrical or other and in a good state of operation will be admitted at the departure.

However, bicycles with assistance could take part in the race without any classification in one of the Grand Raid categories.

3. Only age categories are relevant when starting from Hérémence and Evolène.

4. Juniors must start from Hérémence or Evolène.

5. Drop-outs: for security reasons, any participant dropping out of the race must continue to the nearest control post to do so officially and to return his/her microchip. There will be a charge for chips not returned. Injured participants must report to the organizers on the day of their accident, or bear the expenses so incurred.

6. Every participant in the GR must be personally insured against accident, and must possess a plan covering the costs of rescue or pay transport charges himself/herself.

7. The Grand Raid is subject to the Swiss Olympic Association’s "Statute Concerning Doping" (revised May 12, 2026), and may thus perform doping checks. By registering and taking part in the competition, participants become subject to the anti-doping provisions of the Swiss Olympic Association and acknowledge the sole competence of the SOA’s Disciplinary Committee on doping as well as that of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Lausanne), to the exclusion of any other ordinary court. They are also liable for the consequences of an infraction, which include suspension and criminal charges.

8. The Race Committee (CCO) reserves the right to modify the route at any time, in the interest of the participants and of their safety.

9. A standard mountain bike helmet is obligatory, as is a repair kit.

10. The starting line will be determined as a function of the number of registered participants.

11. A number shield must be affixed to the frame to identify the participant's start group.

12. Vehicle inspection is obligatory for all participants and will take place on Saturday from 11 am to 8 pm. The inspection will take place at Sion military barracks.

13. Bicycles may not be exchanged

14. The Grand Raid is open to all persons above the age of 15 (year of birth to be recorded). Persons under the age of 18 require parental consent to participate.

15. Participants who fail to pass the control or who arrive late, as well as those who have not passed obligatory controls along the route, are disqualified. Participants who do not comply with the organization’s regulations or instructions are also disqualified.

16. Only those participants who cross the finish line in Grimentz are classified. Participants who have dropped out or have been eliminated are also not classified. Intermediate times do not count towards official classification even if they have been communicated.

17. All complaints must be submitted in writing to the competition jury within 15 minutes of a participant’s arrival, and must be accompanied by a deposit of CHF 100.

18. As a rule, participants may not register at the event, since registration slots are limited. The organization will adjudicate on the issue at the latest ten days before the race (does not apply to Raidy, the children’s event held on Friday).

19. Competitors must comply strictly with instructions given by officials responsible for the event and its various sectors. The Race Committee (CCO) declines any liability in the event of an accident of any kind involving participants or third parties.

20. In the interest of safety, participants must comply with down times.

21. Participants will receive final recommendations by e-mail.

22. The CCO reserves the right to determine the prize winners. The top three in each category receive a prize. The organizers may ask participants to supply their number shield along with valid identification before being awarded their prize.

23. The CCO declines any liability in the event of damage, loss or theft of a participant’s material or bicycle, including during periods of suspension or elimination.

24. In the event of general elimination or cancellation of the event on the day scheduled for it (due to poor weather conditions, for example), registration and transportation fees will not be refunded.

25. The CCO reserves the right to refuse registration.
