Before the race :
As this race takes place in an idyllic setting we want by every mean to preserve our beautiful region. In order to respect this fabulous present of Mother Earth we want to sensitise all riders - who make a route of recognition on the route of the Grand Raid and who will be present on race day - on the importance of being careful and of collecting their waste. In advance, we thank you for supporting us in this process and for preventing the damage that continue to spread.

During the race :
For one more year, the Grand Raid makes a commitment by collaborating with its partner the Pet-recycling company for the good preservation of sites crossed during the race, of the arrival area in Grimentz and in Sion during the day of the Fête du vélo.

The day of the race and the next day, heads of sectors have at their disposal 1,200 volunteers who collect all the litter strewn on the ground in order to leave the site clean, immediately after the race.
