Alpiq is a partner of the Grand Raid
Alpiq is proud to be supporting the largest mountain-bike marathon in Europe by becoming Co-sponsor of the Grand Raid. A top-notch performance and the energy expended amid the Valais mountains are the features we have in common with this sporting event. We provide peak load energy thanks to the might of the Alps, as indicated by our name Alpiq, in which the “Alp” part symbolizes the Alps and “Piq” denotes the peaks or summits, and therefore peak performance. The route of the Grand Raid race goes through a number of valleys in Valais where Alpiq’s main hydroelectric facilities are located, notably the Grande Dixence, Cleuson and Moiry dams. Today we are delighted to be supporting this high-level, high-mountain sporting event and to be contributing to the competitors’ peak performances.
